At this time, the peasants outside heard how the rich man received all kinds of courtesies and receptions. There were music and singing, and finally everything was peaceful again. St. Peter came again, opened the door, and let the farmer in. The farmer thought that he would play music and sing after he went in, but it was so quiet inside. But he was received very warmly, and the angels came to welcome him, but no one sang. So the farmer asked St. Peter why the rich man came to sing to him, but he came differently, as if heaven and earth were partial. St. Peter replied, "Not at all, you are as lovely to us as anyone else, and you must enjoy every pleasure in Paradise like the rich man, but poor people like you are every day. Some people go to heaven, but only one rich man like this will go to heaven in a hundred years!".
